Hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia, Monica’s journey began with a Bachelor’s in Economics and a Master’s in Economics-Accounting from the University of Indonesia. Her intellectual curiosity and drive led her to become a Chartered Accountant in 2000, a Tax Attorney in 2004, and a graduate of the Economic Development Program Executive Education at the Harvard Kennedy School in 2020. Monica is also a Tax Lecturer and Economics Lecturer at the University of Indonesia since 2017, which is a top university in Indonesia.

Her career milestones are as diverse as they are impressive. Since 2011, Monica has served as a Tax Instructor at the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants. She also founded MRS Business Professional in 2015, a firm that has grown from a small Jakarta-based consultancy into a global enterprise with a representative office in Washington, DC. Her firm now serves clients across Asia, America, Europe, and beyond, offering expertise in international taxation, compliance, litigation, and judicial reviews. In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Monica is a dedicated academic. She has been a Lecturer in Taxation and Economics at the University of Indonesia since 2017 and continues to contribute to groundbreaking research in these fields. Her business consulting portfolio spans legal tax consulting, teaching, and public speaking at international conferences, positioning her as a thought leader on a global stage.
